Kaluga Sturgeon - Tin

Kaluga Sturgeon Caviar has an unforgettable taste with hints of walnut. The eggs are large in size, light-brown in colour. We follow an exclusive recipe when adding salt to achieve the perfect taste of the Royal delicacy.

Please note: As each sturgeon is unique, so is the caviar they produce. As such, it is normal to experience variations in color within each grade. With regards to coloring, the caviar pictured here is a good representation but is not necessarily indicative of all caviar within this grade.

Where it comes from

Kaluga Sturgeon - this sturgeon caviar comes from Asia.

Often referred to as the best caviar, Kaluga is the name of the large sturgeon found in the Amur River.

How we ship

To guarantee the freshness we ship in special insulated box with ice packs. For fresh products we use two shipping methods UPS Next Day Air and UPS 2nd Day Air

Free shipping on orders over $350

  • Order by 3pm EST Mon-Thu and get it next day or in two days depending on the choice of shipping cost.
  • Otherwise your order will be shipped the next business day, likely Monday for Tuesday delivery or Wednesday.

How to open the caviar tin

Applying a little pressure between the lip of the lid and the threading of the base will break the seal and pop open your caviar jar or caviar tin quite easily. Any metal object with a thin edge is perfect for applying leverage under the lid and on top of the separating it from the base.

How to store Kaluga Sturgeon

Upon receiving please place your caviar tin in the coldest part of your refrigerator.

If you plan to store it for a few weeks it is better to place a frozen ice pack on top. The optimal temperature to store caviar is between 26 and 35 F.

Unopened caviar will last for up to 6 weeks in the refrigerator.

Air is caviar’s largest enemy: if not entirely consumed, please cover the entire surface of the tin with plastic film. The remaining caviar should be consumed within the next 2-3 days.
